Wind turbines are equipped with control systems . However, while these factory settings are engineered to perform well under typical conditions, they may not be perfectly tuned for specific site or the turbine’s condition. By adjusting control settings to be consistent with actual conditions, TuneUp can improve the turbine’s power output beyond factory defaults.
TuneUp has the potential to achieve Annual Energy Production (AEP) improvements ranging from 0.5% to 2%, with additional gains possible when used in conjunction with other technologies like AeroUp. It is also used alongside Dynamic Yaw to maintain optimal settings, even when a turbine is deliberately misaligned for wake steering.

We gather high-frequency turbine data along with key parameter values to establish a comprehensive foundation.
The collected site data is processed through our proprietary models, optimising parameter settings for maximum efficiency.
Optimised, turbine-specific or site-wide parameter values are deployed either on-site or remotely to test turbines.
We validate performance improvements through a before-and-after comparison or using the toggle method to quantify the AEP gain.
Upon successful validation, the optimised settings are rolled out across the remaining turbines on the site.
